Haobo Sun
Landscape Designer

A landscape designer in Starr Whitehouse’s Atlanta Studio, Haobo Sun joins Starr Whitehouse after completing his master’s in Landscape Architecture at Ohio State University. With a passion for sustainable environmental practices, Haobo devoted his master’s career to research in integrating wetland ecosystems with agricultural fields in the Everglades Agricultural Area, South Florida—proposing a distributed approach that creates micro-wetlands or opportunistic wetland “pieces” in lieu of a single larger wetland area. He received the Ohio Chapter ASLA student honor award in 2021 for his academic achievements. Haobo has previous work experience at AECOM’s Shanghai office, and received his bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture from Chinese Cultural University in 2016.
